A Kite’s Eyes…

Nicolas Chorier is a photographer who takes the art to new heights.  Literally.

Using a specially designed kite, he attaches his camera to a cradle on the delicate but strong kite string and then sends it right on up!  Thousands of feet above the ground he catches breathtaking images of our world that unless you are into hang-gliding you just can’t imagine.

Recently, Nicolas presented a show of his work with us at Pondy Photo 2014.  He also thrilled local photographers with demonstrations of his unique art at the festival site.

His participation added a very special element to Pondy Photo 2014.  No other festival in India can boast such incredible aerial photos of their site.  And he personally drew hundreds of visitors both with his show of images of India from the sky and his demonstrations.

Now he is taking his level of contribution even higher.  Nicolas has put his printed works up for sale and is contributing 30% of sales to help Pondy Photo 2014 make up for the costs incurred when sponsors backed down on expected contributions.
