Arsenal vs Manchester United Premier League Odds, Time, and Prediction

The Gunners are sitting comfortably in the No. 1 position in the Premier League with 47 points after 18 games. The title race, however, is far from over, meaning that in order to stay on top of the Prem, they need to continue to collect points. The big question is whether they can do it against such an in-form opponent as Manchester United.

The Gunners are Without an EPL Loss Since September

Arsenal are playing fantastic soccer this season, especially in the Premier League. They’re 15-2-1 right now, with their last (and only) EPL defeat happening back in September. What needs to worry them, however, is that the loss in question happened against Manchester United.

The Red Devils beat them 3-1, but the final score doesn’t tell the whole story. First of all, the game was played at Man United’s stadium, Old Trafford. Secondly, Arsenal were the dominant side in that match with 61% ball possession and 16 goal attempts.

They would’ve won that game if it weren’t for Marcus Rashford. Man United’s forward had a fantastic game that day, scoring twice and making one assist. The bad news for the Gunners is that Rashford is currently in even better form.

The Red Devils Keep On Impressing

Manchester United are undefeated in competitive matches since early November. In the Premier League, they’re 4-1-0 since the end of the World Cup break. The best thing is that during their surge, we saw them beat their local rivals, Manchester City.

The score in the Manchester Derby was 2-1 for the boys in red, with Marcus Rashford once again being the man of the match. Not only did he score the winner, but he was also instrumental in the scoring of the equalizer. He was in a passive offside during his team’s attack, which tricked the opposition defense into thinking the assistant referee would raise his flag.

Rashford has been Man United’s talisman over the last couple of weeks, but his teammates too deserve praise. Bruno Fernandes has been brilliant in the role of the playmaker, while Casemiro’s been a true midfield general.

Manchester’s defenders have also been playing great soccer, although we did see them concede a goal in each of their last two Premier League games.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction

We expect to see Mikel Arteta’s team to dominate this game in the same manner Man City dominated the Red Devils last weekend. Marcus Rashford outsmarted the Citizens that day, but we can’t see him doing the same against Arsenal. Instead, with the help of their fans at the Emirates, Arsenal are going to get their revenge for the loss in the first half of the season.

Picks: Arsenal to win; over 2.5 goals

Wolves vs Liverpool FA Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

Wolves vs Liverpool FA Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

The Reds really didn’t need an extra match in the FA Cup, but they will have to play Wolves again after failing to beat them in Liverpool. Just four days after the cup game, Liverpool play Chelsea in the Prem, which is why coach Jurgen Klopp might decide to send a couple of backups to Wolverhampton. The question is whether Wolves’ best XI can beat Liverpool’s B-team?

Wolves to Go All-In in the FA Cup?

Things are looking better for Wolves now that Julen Lopetegui is their coach. However, even he isn’t a wizard who can miraculously get them far away from the relegation zone. Even though their form has started to improve, they still have to work hard to secure another season in the Prem.

They got a very tough schedule ahead – they’re taking on Manchester City in the Prem just a couple of days after the FA Cup duel with Liverpool. Still, they know they’re huge underdogs in that game, which is why they’re probably not too fussed about it.

Instead, rather than thinking about what’s next in the league, they might focus entirely on their next FA Cup match. We think they’re going to play with their best XI against Liverpool on Tuesday, hoping that with the help of their fans, they could knock the favorite out of the competition.

They don’t have a great record against Liverpool with just three wins in the last 15 years. What’s interesting, however, is that two of those wins happened in the FA Cup.

Jurgen Klopp to Rest a Couple of Key Men?

We’re almost at the half-point of the 2022-23 season, and Liverpool are sitting outside the top 5. Their goal is to get there before the end of the season, but for that, they will have to start playing much better in the league.

The thing is that the competition is fierce in the EPL this season, especially now that Newcastle are playing such great soccer. Then, there’s Chelsea who are also sitting very low in the standings, but whose ambitions are sky-high. That said, breaking into the top 5 isn’t going to be easy for the Reds unless they give all they got in league games.

But, if they do that, their key men might not be in the right mood to play cup games. That’s why instead of their best XI, the Reds might play with a couple of backups on Tuesday. Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harvey Elliott, and others are expected to feature in this game. Meanwhile, Klopp might decide to give a rest to superstars like Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo in order to keep them fresh for the EPL duel with Chelsea.

Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction

Wolves love playing the FA Cup, and you can be 100% certain they’re going to give all they got on Tuesday. However, will it be enough to beat mighty Liverpool? We think it might, especially because the game is played at Molineux.

Picks: Wolves to win; over 2.5 goals

Caesars’ Horseshoe Lake Charles Opens for Visitors

Caesars’ Horseshoe Lake Charles Opens for Visitors

The leading casino-entertainment company, Caesars Entertainment, celebrated the opening of its new venue, Horseshoe Lake Charles.

Horseshoe Lake Charles Is Now Open for Visitors

The opening ceremony of Horseshoe Lake Charles located in southwest Louisiana wrapped up on Monday, December 12. The date matched the initially announced opening date from Caesars Entertainment. Besides a spectacular party, the ceremony offered beautiful fireworks. The grand opening also offered live music entertainment, bets and more fun activities.

The new venue uses the location formerly used by Caesars Entertainment’s Isle of Capri Lake Charles. Unfortunately, due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Laura, the Isle of Capri was damaged back in 2020. Then, for more than two years, the property was closed, impacted by the pandemic as well.

Now, the new Caesars’ new Horseshoe Lake Charles is open for visitors and it offers plenty of amenities for its guests. The completely renovated 60,000 square-foot property has new hotel rooms, unique dining outlets and offers plenty of entertainment. Visitors of the venue who favor gambling will undoubtedly like the location’s slot machines and table games. Horseshoe Lake Charles offers nearly 1,000 slot machines but there’s also an official WSOP Poker room. Bettors that visit the new venue can also experience the all-new Caesars Sportsbook.

On the other hand, there are more than 250 hotel rooms with unique designs and plenty of beverage and food outlets. The location also anticipates the introduction of the famous multi-Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay Steak outlet at some point next year. What’s more, Horseshoe Lake Charles is expected to open a new pool area as well.

After Two Years, the Venue Is Finally Open

Back in October, Caesars announced the planned date for the opening of Horseshoe Lake Charles. At the time of the announcement, the company’s president and COO, Anthony Carano, acknowledged that upon closing the Isle of Capri back in 2020, the company did not expect to have the location shut for such a long time.

When we closed the Isle of Capri in 2020, we were not expecting the property to be shut down for this length of time.

Anthony Carano, president and COO of Caesars Entertainment

Still, he pointed out that the company is delighted to see the hard work put into this property and the convenience it will deliver for its guests. “We look forward to welcoming our partners and the community to celebrate with us as we commemorate this milestone and introduce them to Horseshoe Lake Charles,” Carano added.

Buzz Bingo and Stroke Association Help Survivors with Second Chance at Life

The Stroke Association in the UK, an organization that provides support, conducts research and organizes campaigns to help people affected by stroke, announced a new partnership with one the most popular UK bingo operators, Buzz Bingo.

The Stroke Association Teams up with Buzz Bingo

Details of the new collaboration emerged Wednesday and see the duo join forces for a three-year partnership. Joining forces, the Stroke Association and Buzz Bingo will seek to help stroke survivors fight against loneliness and isolation.

Celebrating the start of the new collaboration, the duo organized an event that took place on Tuesday this week at Buzz Bingo, Stratford, London. The event gathered members of the public and welcomed stroke survivors to enjoy an evening with bingo games, music and prizes.

The Collaboration Will Bring Support to Stroke Survivors

Coinciding with the announcement of the new partnership, the duo released details regarding a new joint survey. The white paper revealed that there are currently 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK and every year, there are approximately 100,000 strokes.

The study recorded the responses of 381 stroke survivors and found that over a third of them or 40%, would like to socialize more since their stroke. However, the survey uncovered that more than half or 52% of the survivors have lost confidence due to their stroke, while 32% admitted to experiencing personality changes. Of the stroke survivors, 23% admitted to feeling lonely or isolated, while one in four, or 26% admitted to struggling with their mental health. On the other hand, losing their hobby or spending less time on hobbies left 29% of stroke survivors feeling a loss of confidence.

Without any doubt, Buzz Bingo’s collaboration with the Stroke Association will help many stroke survivors. Ultimately, the goal of the new collaboration is to help those survivors socialize more. This will be achieved via fundraising initiatives which will bring invaluable support to stroke survivors.

Buzz Bingo Is Delighted to Support the Stroke Association

Mark Fletcher, Buzz Bingo’s head of brand communications, said that the company is excited to join forces and support the Stroke Association to help tackle loneliness and isolation for stroke survivors. He acknowledged that the socialization after a stroke can be challenging but reassured that Buzz Bingo clubs can “offer a welcoming, friendly and accessible environment for stroke survivors to take that first step to feeling part of a community, regaining confidence and helping rebuild their lives.”

We are delighted to be partnering with the Stroke Association and to help raise awareness of the isolation and loneliness many stroke survivors experience.

Mark Fletcher, head of brand communications at Buzz Bingo

Fletcher pointed out that Buzz Bingo seeks to raise some £200,000 ($244,600) for the Stroke Association in the next three years by organizing different initiatives like the one that marked the start of the collaboration. He revealed that the collaboration is expected to deliver volunteering opportunities that will help train Buzz Bingo’s employees to better understand the impacts of stroke.

Netherlands vs Argentina 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

Netherlands vs Argentina 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

After a shocking loss to Saudi Arabia, Argentina have started playing well. Actually, Lionel Messi has started playing amazing soccer, carrying his team all the way to the quarterfinal of the 2022 World Cup. But is that the phase in which Argentina’s Qatar adventure ends?

Bookies don’t think so, giving the role of the favorite to Messi & Co. The Dutch, however, disagree. They look like a team that holds the key to stopping Messi and to learn why that’s the case, just keep on reading our Netherlands vs Argentina preview.

Do the Dutch Have an Antidote to Messi?

Without Messi, Argentina would stand no chance against the Netherlands. Their defense just isn’t good to stop the Netherlands’ attackers, not to mention that all of Argentina’s defenders are shorter than Cody Gakpo. Speaking of the 23-year-old PSV star, he’s been sensational since coming to Qatar, scoring three goals already, one of which he scored by heading the ball inside the net.

Apart from Gakpo, Argentina players also need to fear the Dutch midfield. Barca’s Frenkie de Jong has been great so far, while his colleagues from Atalanta, Marten de Roon and Teun Koopmeiners, seem capable of helping the Netherlands establish dominance on the pitch on Friday.

Then, there’s Netherlands’ defense, which will be in the spotlight in the quarterfinal game. Right-back Denzel Dumfries is coming off an MVP-level performance in the round of 16, which saw the Inter player score one goal against the USMNT, while also making two assists. He did great offensively in that game, but against Argentina, he will have to do great defensively as well.

The same goes for Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City’s Nathan Ake, and two Ajax’s players, Jurrien Timber and Daley Blind. They all will have to work very hard to help out their goalkeeper.

Andries Noppert is the man between the sticks, who seems like the weakest link in the Netherlands’ squad. As a reminder, the 6’8 Heerenveen goalie has made his international debut in the first round of the 2022 World Cup. So far, he’s been great, but we wonder if he can do great against Messi.

It’s All About Lionel Messi

Argentina got themselves into the quarterfinal after finishing first in Group C and beating Australia 2-1 in the round of 16. In the group stage, we saw them win two games (2-0 win over Mexico and 2-0 against Poland) and lose one (2-1 to Saudi Arabia).

In total, they’ve scored seven goals since coming to Qatar, and Lionel Messi was directly involved in four of those. He also created numerous chances for his teammates, but they failed to turn many of them into goals. This goes especially for Lautaro Martinez, an Inter striker who was supposed to be the one in charge of scoring.

A few other Argentina players have been the opposite of impressive in this tournament, including their goalie and their defensive line. They haven’t been too horrible, but on the other hand, they haven’t yet played against a team that’s as good in the offense as the Netherlands.

Netherlands vs Argentina Prediction

If the Dutch find the key to taming arguably the best player in the world, Lionel Messi, they’re going to advance to the next stage. So, can they keep the Argentine Messiah at bay? We think they can. Not only do they have one of the best defensive lines in the world, but they also have a fantastic coach.

The Netherlands national soccer team is led by 71-year-old Louis van Gaal who surely has some aces up his sleeve.

Picks: Netherlands to advance to the semi-finals

USMNT vs Wales 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

USMNT vs Wales 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

A couple of weeks ago, Wales captain Gareth Bale got into the spotlight of American sports fans by scoring the decisive goal for LAFC in the 8th minute of the stoppage time in the 2022 MLS Cup Final.

Fast-forward to Monday, November 21, and the Welshman is going to be on the radar of American soccer fans once again. This time, it’s because his national team will lock horns with the USMNT in the first round of the 2022 World Cup.

You can think of the USMNT vs Wales game as a crucial battle for the no.2 spot in the World Cup Group B (it’s very likely England will finish in the no.1 place). The winner of this game would make one giant leap toward the World Cup knockouts, so you can be 100% sure all the players on the pitch will give their utmost on Monday.

The United States Roster Has Never Been This Strong

Team USA is the third-most bet-on World Cup team with 11% of all the wagers. Even though the odds are pretty long (+13000), no one can say that bettors are crazy to back this team. The thing is that the roster of the USMNT hasn’t been this strong in a while. In fact, one may argue that this is the strongest squad in the history of Team US.

In the past, most of the USMNT players were playing in the MLS, which used to be a not-too-competitive league. In 2022, the American top tier is a fantastic championship with some really good players, nine of which have gotten the call-up to the World Cup.

The other 17 USMNT players are playing in top European leagues – the English Premier League (6 players), Spanish La Liga (2), German Bundesliga (2), Championship (2), Italian Serie A (2), Scottish Premiership (1), Turkish Superlig (1), and French Ligue 1 (1).

The standout name in the USMNT’s World Cup squad is Christian Pulisic. Admittedly, he hasn’t been getting a lot of playing time in Chelsea this season, but there’s no arguing that he’s an exceptional talent.

The best thing, however, is that Team US isn’t a one-man army. This team has plenty of other players who are almost as equally good as Pulisic – Giovanni Reyna, Timothy Weah, Weston McKennie, Brenden Aaronson, Sergino Dest, and others.

Gareth Bale’s Job in Qatar is to Score Goals

Gareth Bale is the biggest star on the Wales roster, as well as the man in charge of scoring goals. He’s scored 40 goals for his national team, which is twice as much as Aaron Ramsey, the second-top scorer in this team’s World Cup squad.

That said, if Bale doesn’t play great in Qatar, Wales probably won’t score many goals. Unfortunately, the Welshman isn’t in great form right now. He did score a historic goal in the grand finale of the 2022 MLS, but that was his first (and only) goal since summer. In fact, the former Real Madrid superstar has scored only six goals in 2022.

On the bright side for Wales, this team does have plenty of amazing players in other parts of the pitch. Their defense is very good, with players like Ben Davies, Neco Williams, Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, and others. Further, they also have a good goalie. Actually, they have good goalies – Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward, and Adam Davies.

USMNT vs Wales Prediction

The Americans are favored by the bookies for a reason. As a team, they are stronger than Wales. What should worry them is that Wales has Bale who can win games on his own, as well as a pretty decent backline. That said, beating the Welsh isn’t going to be easy but we think the Yanks can pull it off.

Pick: United States to win

Qatar vs Ecuador 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

Qatar vs Ecuador 2022 World Cup Odds, Time, and Prediction

Qatar vs Ecuador is the 2022 World Cup opener. It might not be the most exciting matchup, but it’s the first game of the tournament, as well as the only World Cup game scheduled for Sunday, November 20.

This is going to be Qatar’s first World Cup game in history, but oddsmakers don’t see the hosts as the favorites. Instead, the odds are leaning (slightly) toward Ecuador. To see what we think is going to happen in the first game of the World Cup, just keep on reading.

Qatar vs Ecuador Odds

Match-Winner

Qatar +240
Draw +220
Ecuador +125

Goals Over/Under

Under 2.5 -189

*Odds taken from bet365 on Tuesday, November 15.

Qatar’s World Cup Debut

Qatar is the only team that got to the 2022 World Cup without having to play the qualifications. Qatar booked its place in the tournament simply by hosting it. There’s a big question mark on whether they’d qualify for the tournament if they had to play the qualifiers.

The thing is that Qatar is one of the worst national teams in the world. All of their 2022 World Cup players play for the teams from their national league, the Qatar Stars League. If you haven’t heard of this competition, no one can blame you – it’s far from being an interesting league.

On the bright side for Qatar, the World Cup is played on their turf. With the help of their fans, they might be able to put on a decent performance, at least in the tournament opener. We, however, think that this is something that will depend only on how the Ecuadorians play on Sunday.

Ecuador Looks Like a Great Bet for the World Cup Opener

It’s really strange that bookies are giving +125 on Ecuador. We think the odds should be much shorter than that. Our reasoning? Ecuador’s roster is way superior to the one of Qatar.

Sure, there aren’t any superstars in Ecuador’s World Cup squad. However, this team seems like a good combination between experience and talent. The team captain is 33-year-old Enner Valencia, who’s currently playing for Fenerbahce.

Valencia, however, probably isn’t going to be Ecuador’s crucial player in Qatar. Instead, we think it’s going to be one of the three Brighton players – Moises Caicedo, Jeremy Sarmiento, or Pervis Estupinan.

We expect a lot from Caicedo, a 21-year-old midfield dynamo who’s playing fantastic soccer in 2022. He’s going to dominate the pitch on Sunday, ensuring that the ball stays in Ecuador’s possession for most of the game.

Qatar vs Ecuador Prediction

Ecuador will dominate the possession on Sunday, which makes us confident that Qatar will not score on Sunday. Add to this the fact that Gustavo Alfaro’s men haven’t conceded a single goal in their previous six games. That said, Ecuador to keep a clean sheet looks like a very good World Cup prop bet.

There’s one thing that worries us, though. Ecuador’s attackers don’t tend to score too many goals. In fact, they scored just six goals in 10 games they’ve played so far in 2022. Still, we do believe they can put (at least) one away against such a weak opponent as Qatar.

Picks: Ecuador to win; under 2.5 goals

ANJ Asks Customers to Bet Responsibly

ANJ Asks Customers to Bet Responsibly

L’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), France’s gambling regulator, has issued a warning about the dangers of gambling ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The top-tier soccer event starts in a week and will glue sports fans from all over the world to the screen.

“T’as vu, t’as perdu”

The authority’s new campaign goes under the “You saw, you lost” slogan, which bears the same name as a new promotional song released by the ANJ. Through this initiative, the regulator wants to remind people that gambling can always go wrong and therefore people should either gamble responsibly or not gamble at all.

The campaign follows a recent study by Harris Interactive, according to which more than 1/3 of the adults in the country plan to bet money during the World Cup 2022. The ANJ, therefore, wants to raise awareness and will actively remind people that wagering doesn’t guarantee a victory.

The “T’as vu, t’as perdu” campaign precedes what analysts believe will be a record season for sports betting in France. According to finance experts, the French betting handle during the World Cup may surpass the record of $450 million (current conversion rates) set in 2020. Ahead of such a promising sports season, it is crucial to remind people to bet responsibly.

Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin, the president of the ANJ, said that this is the regulator’s first prevention campaign. She said that the regulator does not wish to antagonize the sports betting industry but rather protect the youth by teaching the young about how dangerous excessive gambling can be.

The ANJ wishes to ensure that sports betting continues to be a recreational activity instead of a source of harm and woes for sports enthusiasts in the country, Falque-Pierrotin concluded.

The Campaign Will Target Younger Sports Fans

The ANJ’s new campaign was developed by RosBeef, which is a marketing agency headquartered in Paris. RosBeef’s forte is marketing materials that target a younger audience. The regulator’s reason to pick this advertising agency in particular is the statistics that show that younger bettors are much more vulnerable to gambling harm.

As a result, “T’as vu, t’as perdu” will before anything else target young men under 35, who, according to previous surveys, tend to play irresponsibly.

Since the ANJ understands that this campaign may not be enough to prevent problem gambling, the authority also unveiled a new charter that includes standards for all operators during the World Cup in Qatar. Under the charter, betting companies must refrain from flooding the media with gambling ads and prompting problem gambling.
